Let Us Pray

We pray for our needs. We pray for help. We pray for comfort. We pray for healing. We pray for protection. We pray for guidance. We pray for mercy and grace. We pray for forgiveness. We pray in the Spirit. We pray without ceasing. We pray for others, and we are even called to pray for our enemies. We pray in Jesus name. We pray in our homes. We pray quietly alone in our prayer closet. We pray with others. Yet you can’t pray in school, and many places of employment. There are even countries where you can’t pray to Jesus without fear of death, but they still pray.

Daniel prayed three times a day, even when a law was passed saying that no one could pray to anyone but the king or they would be thrown into the lions den. Yet even this did not keep Him from directing His prayers to the One True God, The God of Israel, the God of Abraham.
