Prayer Request/Nov. 19, 2016

Calling all prayer warriors. A need for your prayers for a young man who recently lost his mother in a house fire is having her funeral today. It is hard enough to lose a loved one, but my heart breaks for this young man. The last conversation he had with her, he told her he was not going to have anything to do with her till she quit doing drugs. Unfortunately she died the day after. It is not that he said anything to her that was wrong, but it is the fact that she is gone and they never had a chance to repair their relationship. I have had a similar experience and have some idea of the guilt he is carrying around with him. She is gone but the pain remains. Please pray for him and his siblings.

  1. Julie this made me cry. The death of a mom is hard enough, but to lose your mom under awful circumstances and in an awful way is agony. I will pray. God is close to the brokenhearted and He has promised to never leave us in times of agony. My heart hurts for this young man and the road he has ahead of him. I’m all too well acquatinted.

    1. Thank you Marijo. This young mans life story is s close to my own that watching what he has gone through is like looking at my own life. He has not had it easy at all and because I have been through so much of what he has been going through I can empathize and it keeps him in my prayers. I appreciate your compassion for him and for your prayers. God bless you.

  2. It is sad and he is on my morning prayer list.

It says in the Bible that Jehovah determines the time we die.

If she was offered help to conquer her addictions and refused the help it is no fault of his.

He was right to distance himself from a toxic relationship.

Been there done that. When they died I cried because of their hard hardheartedness in refusing to reconcile and it took counselling to help recover.

May the Holy Spirit bless him to heal his wounds and strengthen him.
