Genesis 1:5 God called the light day, and the darkness He called night And there was evening and there was morning, one day.
Matthew 14:25 And in the fourth watch of the night He came to them, walking on the sea.
Luke 6:12 It was at this time that He went off to the mountain to pray, and He spent the whole night in prayer to God.
I am thankful for the night when the stress of the day turns to the peaceful night. I am thankful for the quiet of the night. The time without distraction and the closeness I feel to my Heavenly Father. I confess that I am a night owl and not much of a morning person.
I love morning! I wake up and thank God for another day, then I begin reading His Word for His direction and the for prayer time. But I also love the night! During the day, too many hassles with traffic, paying bills and the mundane, unless we have an exciting day planned! And we try to do that about 90% of the time! Lol

For me, it’s the hour before bed, especially if I have time to intentionally reflect and wind down.

I’m often very thankful to the Lord during the morning…something about God’s common grace of sunrise, another day, being rested, etc.
