Bread and Water

What good does a glass of water do for me if I do not drink it? If I were to leave the glass of water just sitting there, what would happen to it? I am not sure how much time it would take but it would begin to evaporate till there was nothing but residue left on the glass. Another thing that would happen since it is stagnate, if the conditions were not right for the water to evaporate quickly you would see the water begin to have a slimy film on its surface.  So if I pour a glass of water and just let it sit there we have two examples of what can happen. Another thing is the glass could be knocked over and the water would spill out. I could continue to come up with ideas of what could happen to the untouched glass…
