Truth in Palmyra

Today, as part of our Tuesday/Thursday devotional series, we are going to start a new series on Great Questions in the Bible. I hope you enjoy them

Genesis 3:1

Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

In this passage, we see several firsts. This is the first question asked in The Bible. It is the first thing said by Satan in The Bible. Finally, it is the first attempt we see by Satan to undermine and cast doubt upon the truthfulness of God’s Word. In the thousands of years since this event occurred, nothing has changed. Casting doubt is still the primary tool The Devil uses to cast doubt upon the truthfulness of Christianity in general.

The reasons for…

  1. God also tells us Julie how we can understand His Truth, as we know many read Scripture without understanding it, we need God’s Wisdom and the Empowering of the Holy Spirit as we see confirmed below, we were not Born with them, we ask and receive and without them God’s Truth is foolishness to many and they depend on what they think in their Carnal flesh and this they Teach to others.

Proverbs 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing therefore get Wisdom and with all thy getting get Understanding.

James 1:5-6 If any of you lack Wisdom let that giveth to all liberally and upbraideth not and it shall be given them. But let them ask in Faith nothing wavering. For them that wavereth are like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

Proverbs 2:9-11 Then shalt thou Understand Righteousness and Judgment and Equity yea every Good Path when Wisdom entereth into thine heart and Knowledge is pleasant unto thy Soul.

Luke 11:13 If ye then, being evil know how to give good gifts unto your children how much more shall your Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask Him?

1 Corinthians 2:9-16 But as it is written Eye hath not seen nor ear heard neither have entered into the heart of man the things which God hath prepared for them that Love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit for the Spirit searcheth all things yea the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man but the Spirit of God. Now we have received not the spirit of the world but the Spirit which is of God that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth but which the Holy Ghost teacheth comparing spiritual things with Spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God for they are foolishness unto him neither can he know them because they are Spiritually discerned. But he that is Spiritual judgeth all things yet he himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the Mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him? but we have the Mind of Christ.

1 John 2:26-28 These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. But the anointing which ye have received of Him abideth in you and ye need not that any man teach you but as the same anointing Teacheth you of all things and is Truth and is no lie and even as it hath taught you ye shall abide in Him.

Matthew 10:26-28 Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known. What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops (KJV) (perhaps our Computers ?)

John 16:13 -15. Howbeit when He, the Spirit of Truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for He shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that He shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

We know Julie that Adam was punished for listening to Eve, he knew what God had told him was Truth but Eve was deceived, it is why Woman must not be Ordained and in Leadership over Men, if they are it’s disobedience because it means they will be in Authority over Men in The Church and Teach them which God tells us is not their role and they can be deceived as confirmed below and in my Post which I will leave the link for you in case you would like to read more confirmation of Scripture.

1 Timothy 2:11-14 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a Woman to Teach nor to usurp Authority over the Man but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed then Eve and Adam was not deceived but the Woman being deceived was in the transgression.

    1. When I Reblog someones Post Julie it is because I agree with what they have shared and to also encourage them as God asks us to do in The Body of Christ, when I respond to a Reblog it is mostly to the person who has Reblogged. I read Wally Fay’s Post but chose to respond to you not him, which other Bloggers do too when someone Reblogs, mostly though there is not much response to Reblogs, perhaps other Bloggers like to know what we think and feel and what is important to us or they may already follow those we have Rebloged.

      Blessings – Anne.
