Do you find it easier to see others’ faults, rather than your own? We have a tendency to judge the twig in our brother’s eye and miss the plank protruding from our own eye. This behavior causes us to sin, with haughty arrogance, self-exaltation, and pride.
Daddy God, deliver me from taking liberties with your grace, mercy and pardon. Wash and make me clean from faults and sins, I do not recognize. Keep me from becoming over familiar with you and presuming on your mercy, while filled with pride, self-importance, and superiority. Father, I turn from these sins and humble myself before you. Soften and make my heart pliable, to your instruction. May my thought life and speech be acceptable in your presence, for you are my stability, anchor and rescuer, through your Son, Jesus.
