Call To Prayer / Waging War

Prayer is not just a time to make requests from God. It is also a time to make a stand against the enemy. To say enough is enough, the enemy can’t take anymore from you, your loved ones etc… Stand in the gap when no one else will. Asking God to send us His warring angels to fight for us, and with us. Taking back what has been stolen, fighting for those who are unable to fight for themselves. It is time to wage some war.

Ezekiel 22:29-30 The people of the land have practiced extortion and committed robbery. They have oppressed the poor and needy and have exploited the foreign resident without justice. 30I searched for a man among them to repair the wall and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, so that I should not destroy it. But I found no one.

Isaiah 59:16
And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.

Ezekiel 13:5
Ye have not gone up into the gaps, neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in the day of the LORD.

Jeremiah 29:7 And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have

Numbers 12:13 Moses cried out to the Lord, saying, “O God, heal her, I pray!”

Luke 22:32 but I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail; and you, when once you have turned again, strengthen your brothers.”

Numbers 20:15-16 how our fathers went down to Egypt, where we lived many years. The Egyptians mistreated us and our fathers, 16and when we cried out to the LORD, He heard our voice, sent an angel, and brought us out of Egypt. Now look, we are in Kadesh, a city on the edge of your territory.

Acts 12:4-7 When he had seized him, he put him in prison, delivering him to four squads of soldiers to guard him, intending after the Passover to bring him out before the people. 5So Peter was kept in the prison, but prayer for him was being made fervently by the church to God.

Call To Prayer / Listen!

There is a LOT of talking going on these days. Everyone has something to say about one thing or another. In 1 Corinthians 13 it is mentioned it does not matter if you speak in the tongue of angels or man, without love you are nothing more than a noisy cymbal. So we are making a lot of noise, complaining, arguing, demanding our voices be heard, etc…

Is our prayer life become a noisy mess? Are we too busy talking, that our prayer time has become more like speeches, than conversations? Yes, please tell God about your needs and make your requests known to Him. Intercede for those in need. Then remember to take the time to listen. As much as He loves hearing our voice, He also has things He wants to tell us.

We may hear something but if we are not listening, we will miss out on exactly what is being said. So pray, and pray without ceasing, but include time to listen in your prayer time.

Acts 13:16 Paul stood up, and motioning with his hand said, “Men of Israel, and you who fear God, listen:

Luke 9:3-5 And a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is my Son, my Chosen One; listen to him!”

Proverbs 19:20 Listen to counsel and accept discipline,
That you may be wise the rest of your days.

Proverbs 5:7 Now then, my sons, listen to me
And do not depart from the words of my mouth.

Proverbs 8:32-34 “Now therefore, O sons, listen to me,
For blessed are they who keep my ways.
“Heed instruction and be wise,
And do not neglect it.
“Blessed is the man who listens to me,
Watching daily at my gates,
Waiting at my doorposts.

Leave any prayer requests you have, and we will pray together for each other and for those in need.

God bless and keep you safe.

Call To Prayer / Let us pray together for Victims of Human Trafficking

With so much going on in the world these victims are often forgotten. So many fighting for their rights but forgetting there millions sold through out the world today. No country or state is free from this abomination. Lives sold as you buy or sale anything you could purchase in the store or online. Slaves to whom ever pays for them to be used and abused until their usefulness is no longer desired. It is not just the physical abuse they suffer, but how they are degraded and how their spirits are broken. These are the ones who are always in my prayers. I pray that you join me in prayer for these victims and for the organizations who fight to free them and give them new lives.

Here a few links to such organizations

There are many more who are doing all they can to set these modern day slaves.

Thankful February 22, 2018

Yesterday was an interesting day here in the little town of Bridgeport, Texas. First we had an ice storm move in, so I had to leave work after only working 2 hours and as desperately as I need every penny and cannot afford to miss work, I knew if I did not leave when I did I could end up missing a lot more work than a day or two. So I warm up my car and scrape off the ice that was already covering my windshield and head home. I didn’t make it out of the driveway of the apartment complex where my client lives before my windows were icing up, so I stopped and scraped the ice off again. I didn’t make it a block before the ice on my windows would not be moved by my windshield wipers, and unfortunately the road I was on there was no where I could safely pull over and since there were cars behind me I had to slowly trudge along using the lights on the car ahead of me to make sure I was on my side of the roan. A five minute drive turned into a 20 minute one, but thankfully I made it home safely without any incident. Thankful to be home safe and warm a power surge hit. Electricity went out. I was told ice on the power lines were to blame. Thankful to own thermals and sweats I layered up. Reports of accidents and hearing sirens from ambulances I was thankful to be home safe. Hours later still no electricity I was thankful for my little French press. I had decided to see if any work was being done to fix the electric for the apartments I live in and to see how other neighbors were doing. One neighbor said they were dealing without having power but they sure wanted some coffee. I told them I had a French press and could make them coffee. All I needed to do was boil some water and thankfully our stoves are gas. So they brought over some coffee and their coffee pot. So thanks to my little press we had coffee and they could take some home. Just as I finished pouring the coffee into their pot the lights came on. They took their coffee home and I went to blowing out candles. The second I blew out the last candle there was a loud bang. The transformer blew. Once again we were in the dark. It was hours later before it finally got fixed and the electricity came back on.

There are many lessons that can be learned from this day.

1 The true source of power comes from God alone. Jesus told His disciples He had to return home but that He would send us His Helper. This being his Holy Spirit.

John 14:26  (NKJV) But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

2 That even in the darkest hours of our lives when there is little light or none can be seen at all He is with us.

John 8:12  (ESV) Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

There are many more I could share with you but today the one that is important to me is this. Be thankful always. Not only when the sun is shining and you are happy and do not have any worries. James tells us to count it all joy when we face trials and tribulations.

Ephesians 5:20 giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

Thoughts / August 27, 2017 / Offenses

Who among us is not offended by one thing or another. This morning I watched a good message on being offended by Gregory Dickow.

I have been studying on how to handle offenses with a better attitude for a while but I realized this morning as I watched this message that I have slacked off ob this study. I can make many excuses, such as having to move has taken up so much of my time especially since there have been multiple plumbing issues and having a plumber come to make repairs 4 times in an 8 day period. Then being blamed for the plumbing issues even though they began before I was moved in. I then took offense. This however is just an excuse. So I am going back to my studies and listening to messages on how God wants me to deal being offended. When I remember 1 Corinthian 13 the chapter on love I am reminded of what God say love is and what it is not. The fact that I am still offended but what others do is a red flag to me that says that I am not operating in His love at that moment. I do not react to offenses in a loving way the way I know He tells me to do.

1 Corinthians 13:5 (AMP)  It is not rude; it is not self-seeking, it is not provoked [nor overly sensitive and easily angered]; it does not take into account a wrong endured

I also would like to share a great book on this subject titled Satan’s Bait by John Bevere, you can find it on Amazon if you are interested.
