Days of Noah

Read Genesis chapters 6-8

In the days of Noah God saw that man had become truly wicked throughout the Earth. He was so displeased with man that He had regretted creating him. God had felt that He should destroy all men and even all the creatures because of the wickedness that was covering the Earth by the sins of mankind. But God looked at Noah and Noah had favor in God’s sight so God came up with a different plan. God chose Noah and Noah’s family to build an ark. Not only were they to build an arc, they were to gather the animals throughout the land. God had given Noah warning saying that when the rains would come that he and his family would enter into the ark. And that the ark would carry them safely throughout the storm. The rains came and the Earth flooded. After 40 days of rain the waters did not immediately subside. I’m not quite sure how long it took exactly but one day a dove did return to Noah with a twig from an olive tree. Then Noah and his family and all the creatures within the ark exited.

God is the place of protection we are to seek in the storms in our lives. Listen to His instructions. He is our protector and shelter in the storm. If we abide in Him, He will abide with us. He will never fail you or me.

I miss My time with you

His eye is on the sparrow

To the One Who loves you most, Pray.

You may even use words when necessary.

Lord’s Day Blessings!

“Father, I want those you have given Meto be with Me where I am,

and to see My glory,

the glory You have given Me because

You loved Me before the creation of the world.”

John 17:24

Fighting Back – Hunting Child Predators

ANNA WALDHERR A Voice Reclaimed, Surviving Child Abuse

Marisol Nichols at 2018 San Diego Comic-Con, Author Gage Skidmore (CC BY-SA 3.0 Unported)

The TV series Law and Order:  Special Victims Unit and Riverdale could hardly be more different.  The first is a gritty crime drama.  The second is a teen melodrama based on the Archie Comics.

The two, however, have something in common:  a remarkable actress who takes part in real life FBI and other police “sting” operations targeting child predators [1].

Employing her acting skills, Marisol Nichols collaborates with law enforcement – sometimes in the role of a child, sometimes in the role of a distraught parent – to combat sex trafficking.  Texts and phone calls lure child molesters to motel rooms, where they can be arrested.

Nichols was, herself, sexually assaulted at 11 years of age.

The actress has since established a non-profit called Foundation for a Slavery Free World  Her non-profit produces…

VIDEO Praying for Public Officials

Praying for Public Officials

State lawmakers and executives take up their work in earnest in January in Indiana – and probably in most states. God’s people need to be earnest in making supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way, as the Lord commands us through Paul. How can we more effectively pray?In 2004, Matthew Barnes began to call Hoosiers to pray for their leaders, and he established the Public Servants’ Prayer ministry. He developed an e-reminder system as part of the ministry that gives intercessors three elected leaders to pray for each day. Having seen the Lord’s blessing on this ministry here, he has expanded this portion of the ministry to all fifty states. Go to the Public Servants’ Prayer website to sign up for…

For Whom to Pray

“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men.” (1 Timothy 2:1)

Let no one ever say that he has nothing to pray about, or that he doesn’t know how to pray in God’s will, for it is always in the will of God to pray for other people! This is a great gift that any Christian can give, even if he is penniless or bedridden. There are none so poor as to be unable to afford such a gift, nor can even the wealthiest give a finer gift.

Note just a few of the relevant commandments to believers. First, we are to pray for all fellow Christians: “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints” (Ephesians 6:18). We should also pray for the lost. Jesus commanded…

Wisdom Wednesday, Prayer 102720

Beholding Him Ministries

Blessings today! All glory and honor to our God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.Today is Wisdom Wednesday and as we draw closer and closer to the day, Election Day, I would like to encourage the Body of Christ to be faithful in prayer for our country, it’s leaders, the Body of Christ, and every person living in America! God is Sovereign and I pray as He taught his disciples, “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” I pray the following Scriptures and images would encourage us all to pray in the Name of Jesus:
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

Pray for Leaders Worldwide — Drawing Closer to Christ

Proverbs 28:2 NLT, “When there is moral rot within a nation, its government topples easily. But wise and knowledgeable leaders bring stability.” Moral rot is widespread. Morals have drifted far from the hearts of many and have been replaced with self gratification. Ungodly desires for control, money, possessions, and sexual perversion have saturated our world. […]
