Days of Noah

Read Genesis chapters 6-8

In the days of Noah God saw that man had become truly wicked throughout the Earth. He was so displeased with man that He had regretted creating him. God had felt that He should destroy all men and even all the creatures because of the wickedness that was covering the Earth by the sins of mankind. But God looked at Noah and Noah had favor in God’s sight so God came up with a different plan. God chose Noah and Noah’s family to build an ark. Not only were they to build an arc, they were to gather the animals throughout the land. God had given Noah warning saying that when the rains would come that he and his family would enter into the ark. And that the ark would carry them safely throughout the storm. The rains came and the Earth flooded. After 40 days of rain the waters did not immediately subside. I’m not quite sure how long it took exactly but one day a dove did return to Noah with a twig from an olive tree. Then Noah and his family and all the creatures within the ark exited.

God is the place of protection we are to seek in the storms in our lives. Listen to His instructions. He is our protector and shelter in the storm. If we abide in Him, He will abide with us. He will never fail you or me.

Call To Prayer / Waging War

Prayer is not just a time to make requests from God. It is also a time to make a stand against the enemy. To say enough is enough, the enemy can’t take anymore from you, your loved ones etc… Stand in the gap when no one else will. Asking God to send us His warring angels to fight for us, and with us. Taking back what has been stolen, fighting for those who are unable to fight for themselves. It is time to wage some war.

Ezekiel 22:29-30 The people of the land have practiced extortion and committed robbery. They have oppressed the poor and needy and have exploited the foreign resident without justice. 30I searched for a man among them to repair the wall and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, so that I should not destroy it. But I found no one.

Isaiah 59:16
And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.

Ezekiel 13:5
Ye have not gone up into the gaps, neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in the day of the LORD.

Jeremiah 29:7 And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have

Numbers 12:13 Moses cried out to the Lord, saying, “O God, heal her, I pray!”

Luke 22:32 but I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail; and you, when once you have turned again, strengthen your brothers.”

Numbers 20:15-16 how our fathers went down to Egypt, where we lived many years. The Egyptians mistreated us and our fathers, 16and when we cried out to the LORD, He heard our voice, sent an angel, and brought us out of Egypt. Now look, we are in Kadesh, a city on the edge of your territory.

Acts 12:4-7 When he had seized him, he put him in prison, delivering him to four squads of soldiers to guard him, intending after the Passover to bring him out before the people. 5So Peter was kept in the prison, but prayer for him was being made fervently by the church to God.

Hymns for HIM / God is speaking written by Ken Bible

I am not one who makes recommendations for websites very often, but today I came across a website for hymns, that I really like. I am one who does enjoy hymns but can rarely sing a majority of them, mainly because they are one difficult to sing and two I can come across one I have never heard but like the lyrics but have no idea what tune to sing it in. On this website;

they not only give you the tune to it is sung in, but scripture reference. I have not yet explored the entire site, but I came across it while looking for songs on listening to God. I came across a hymn title: ‘God is speaking’ which I had never heard before. Yet the words of the lyrics went so well with my last post; Call To Prayer / Listening, that I wanted to learn how to sing it. I tried YouTube but could not find it there, and then I came across this site, and was able to quickly learn the song.

Here is the lyrics to ‘God is speaking’

God is speaking.
God is speaking.
Do you hear?
Do you hear?
Trust, and you will hear Him.
Trust, and you will hear Him.
He is love.
He is love.

God is speaking,
Always speaking.
Do you hear,
Hear His heart?
Trust, and you will hear Him
If you want to hear Him.
He is love,
Always love.

God is speaking,
Always speaking
Using needs,
Using joys,
Speaking in His wisdom,
Speaking in His mercy,
Calling hearts,
Changing lives.

I love all types of music, both old and new. This site has just help me with music that is not easy for me. If there is anyone who knows where I can find it to be able to listen

Call To Prayer / Listen!

There is a LOT of talking going on these days. Everyone has something to say about one thing or another. In 1 Corinthians 13 it is mentioned it does not matter if you speak in the tongue of angels or man, without love you are nothing more than a noisy cymbal. So we are making a lot of noise, complaining, arguing, demanding our voices be heard, etc…

Is our prayer life become a noisy mess? Are we too busy talking, that our prayer time has become more like speeches, than conversations? Yes, please tell God about your needs and make your requests known to Him. Intercede for those in need. Then remember to take the time to listen. As much as He loves hearing our voice, He also has things He wants to tell us.

We may hear something but if we are not listening, we will miss out on exactly what is being said. So pray, and pray without ceasing, but include time to listen in your prayer time.

Acts 13:16 Paul stood up, and motioning with his hand said, “Men of Israel, and you who fear God, listen:

Luke 9:3-5 And a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is my Son, my Chosen One; listen to him!”

Proverbs 19:20 Listen to counsel and accept discipline,
That you may be wise the rest of your days.

Proverbs 5:7 Now then, my sons, listen to me
And do not depart from the words of my mouth.

Proverbs 8:32-34 “Now therefore, O sons, listen to me,
For blessed are they who keep my ways.
“Heed instruction and be wise,
And do not neglect it.
“Blessed is the man who listens to me,
Watching daily at my gates,
Waiting at my doorposts.

Leave any prayer requests you have, and we will pray together for each other and for those in need.

God bless and keep you safe.

Call To Prayer / Hymns – Sweet Hour of Prayer

When is the best time to pray? I would say any time you pray is a good time to pray. Here is another hymn on prayer, I hope you enjoy it.

Leave any prayer requests in the comments so we can pray together in agreement, and according to God’s will for each other.

God bless and keep you safe.

Call To Prayer / A Hymn – In The Garden

I wanted to share this hymn with you today, because it speaks of spending time alone with God. Walking and talking. A special time, and even though this song is not about Jesus in Gethsemane praying, being in a garden reminds me of how Jesus prayed there. I hope you take a minute to enjoy listening to this hymn.

Also I hope you will leave any prayer request, for what ever need you may have, or for any one or church, organization or ministry you support, so we can pray together and for each other.

God bless you and keep you safe, in Jesus name.

A Tree Falls And The lessons Continue / Fallen But Not Useless

The tree that fell in the playground of the apartments I lived in continues to teach us lessons. Today as I looked at the branches cut and in piles and looked at the tree that they came from I received another lesson.

Fallen does not mean useless it also does not mean that you have changed who you are. Your purpose may have changed, and your location may have changed and you may even feel separated from the source of life with your creator but you still have purpose and you are still His creation.

He can take the broken pieces of your life and use them for many new purposes.  One thing that you can easily do with a fallen branch is cut it into firewood. This of course would be a one time use. Yet this wood can become so much more than that. I have already gathered branches from this tree and put them to use.

They now have my grapevine growing upon them. Supporting life that is already growing its fruit.

work in progress 1

Previously I have used a fallen branches and turned them into walking sticks like my other had done when she was alive. Here are a couple I have previously made.

The wood that is used to build homes and and furniture all came from a tree. This chair, shop, barn and home were all built from wood that was once part trees. They all serve a purpose. A place to sit and rest. A place to work. A place to shelter animals and store supplies and equipment. A home to shelter a family or even an individual.

Whether that tree was cut down or fell that was used to build these I do not know. What I know is wood comes from a tree and eternal life comes from Jesus. There is one piece of wood that was used to bring us salvation. It was used to make the cross upon which our Savior was crucified.

This cross is not that cross but it is a reminder to us of the price He paid for us and how He has forgiven us. Another tree that gave a piece of itself to be used for the greatest purpose in any trees life.So if you have fallen or someone you know has fallen do not write yourself or them off. You are useful and you have a purpose. Let yourself be picked up and make a new start. Become something new.

Proverbs 24:16 for though a righteous man falls seven times, he will rise again, but the wicked stumble into calamity.

Psalm 37:23-24 The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the LORD holds them by the hand.

Psalm 145:14-16 The LORD helps the fallen and lifts those bent beneath their loads. The eyes of all look to you in hope; you give them their food as they need it. When you open your hand, you satisfy the hunger and thirst of every living thing.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.
Isaiah 65:17 “For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; And the former things will not be remembered or come to mind.
