If your mind doesn’t receive the right spiritual food, it will gravitate towards the negative. What you hear, determines how you feel. How you feel effects how you live.

She’s finally finished

I have been working on this painting for a while now and I am happy to say she is finished. I am sad to say that she will be going to her new home. She has been around my living room for a while now, but the painting is paid for. So I will just have these pictures of her to remember her by. Yet looking at the finished work reminds me that one day God will be finished with me, but for now I am still a work in progress.

A love letter from God

For God is love.

Every bit of God’s love is in creation. His footprint of love is in creation. Jesus was the living Word and where He walked…..love, where He lived….love, the air He breathed…love, the ground on which He spilt His blood…love. A loving touch by a loving Son felt in the fabric of Creation.

God’s touch of love was in Creation. His loving breath into Adam’s lungs. The gift of life given by a loving Father by His very breath. The breath of love. His hands of love. His imprint of love is in the very fabric of Creation.

This beautiful earth which was created for us is a love letter from our Creator God. He created us and gave us the gift of life to enjoy the beauty of His creation.

Love/Ai (personal thoughts)

As I have dived deeper into the message on love, I have looked to other languages to see how they say the word love. In Japanese the word love is ai meaning love and affection. It is not the word used for romance or passion. The most interesting thing I found while looking at how to write this word of love is that it takes thirteen strokes to write the kanji character Ai.

My attempt at writing this kanji.

That made me think of one of my favorite chapters in the Bible 1 Corinthians 13, the chapter on love. For those who are superstitious the number 13 is an unlucky number, but to me it is a number that spells love. When ever I question myself if a thought or action is right with God, I take it to this chapter. If it is what the words in this chapter says love is then I know I am in alignment with the Word of God and if it is not, then I know to take corrective actions. Thirteen strokes also made me think of the stripes Jesus took upon His body before He was crucified. Thirty nine stripes He took that day, okay that was definitely more than thirteen. He spent three days in the grave, rising on the third day. three times thirteen is thirty nine. These are just my thoughts, but ever since I realized that the number thirteen can be related to the Love of Jesus the kanji character really stuck out to me.

As I read through the Gospel of John over the weekend, my favorite New Testament book, I remembered a dream I saw on Friday morning. The dream seemed to focus on a small footbridge that spanned a canal. The unending canal ran adjacent and parallel to an unending road. The scenery was beautiful, a lot of vibrant greenery, lawns and shrubs. President Trump and his family were in a house across the road and there were some other people on the canal side. The Holy Spirit never fails to amaze in His ability to communicate through two seemingly unrelated activities: a dream and a random selection of Scripture. However, the “parallels” in my dream became clearer as I read the Gospel and revisited Israel in the time of Jesus.

Spending time meditating on Yahweh’s goodness and mercy. I love my life. I am grateful to be loved and privileged to be different. I’m just overwhelmed by the Love he has for me. There is nothing greater, nothing stronger, nothing more powerful, nothing more gratifying, and nothing more constant, THAN THE LOVE YAHWEH HAS FOR YOU! Who can measure how deep his love is for you? How great is his love for you? How high? How wide? I don’t know, because the more we receive his love, the more revelation is released from his love.
