Worship the Lord with reverence – and joy …

Daily Devotional Readings

We are called to “worship God” (Revelation 19:10). Our worship is to be with reverence and joy. “Be still: “This is the call for reverence (Nehemiah 8:11). Alongside this reverence, there is to be joy: “The joy of the Lord is your strength” (Nehemiah 8:10). We are to “rejoice” in the Lord (Revelation 18:20). This joy is not a superficial emotion. It is accompanied by the reverence which comes from taking seriously the “woe” that is pronounced on the “great city” that lives for this world only (Revelation 18:19). Joyful worship arises from “a great multitude in heaven” (Revelation 19:1). Four times, in Revelation 19, we read, “Hallelujah!” (Revelation 19:1,3,4,6). “Hallelujah” means ‘Praise the Lord.’ Our praise is to be characterized by joy: “Let us rejoice and be glad and give Him glory!” (Revelation 19:7). This joy is grounded in an awe-inspiring face: “Our Lord God Almighty reigns” (Revelation 19:6)…

Call To Prayer / Victims of human trafficking follow up

Call To Prayer / Victims of human trafficking follow up

I have shared that one of the global causes that is on my prayer list is for victims of human trafficking. I was happy to see a report on the rescue of children from this horrific crime.

I hope you take a moment and read a good news report. 13 missing children were included in those who were saved, and 9 arrests were made. I know there are millions more out there, but it does give us reason to be thankful for these children. I hope you will continue to pray with me so that those who are still suffering from this crime, for the victims and their families.

Praying for Change

James 5:16

Hanging above the door in our house, my mother’s favorite plaque constantly reminded us, “Prayerchanges things.” From an early age, I witnessed this powerful truth through her example. She’d tell me about some difficulties she was facing and then have me pray about them with her. And later, she’d always be sure to give God the glory when sharing the awesome news that He had answered those prayers.

Indeed, this is our confidence: Anything we pray for that aligns with the Father’s plan will be granted. And the more time we spend with Him, the more we’ll come to understand His will and how to pray for it.

Remember, prayer doesn’t change God’s mind, but it does transform the believer’s heart. Some requests are granted immediately, simply because we asked with the realization thatour Fatherloves to give us good…

40 Days of Prayer and Fasting- Day 13- Repent!

Revealed Ministries

As I write this, at 11:30 PM on August 26th, 2020, Hurricane Laura is barreling towards the Gulf Coast of the United States. Since the end of last year, the Lord began speaking to my heart that terrible times were coming to the United States. At first, when these thoughts would come during my prayer time, I would repent and ask God to forgive me for being so negative and focusing on the evil in the world.

After a while, I couldn’t shake off the Holy Spirit’s warnings. I started to write them down and share them with a select few friends. As I began to share, I saw that others were experiencing similar urges from the Lord that we were to ready ourselves for a spiritual battle. One of my friends, in the middle of an intense personal battle, began fasting mid January. She said the Lord showed her…

I Do Not Fight Alone

My God, My Music, My Life

Image result for god is proud of you

Society wants me to conform. I will not conform.

I have had enough. I could not take It anymore. I had tried and tried but no one would go with me. If no one will go with me, I will do it alone.

I don’t see things any differently than anyone else. They all see the world is falling apart. The difference is I couldn’t sit still and watch it get worse. I couldn’t stay quiet and let the evil keep talking.

You know what they say, there is no God, he isnt here, he doesnt care. If there was a God then why….If there was a God then where was he when….

Well, didn’t we ask him to leave? We took him out of schools, court,  any kind of gathering. We let the minority rule. If one person doesn’t like it then no one can enjoy it. It’s no wonder…

My Name Is Legend

My God, My Music, My Life

Image result for ordinary people fighting demons

My name is Legend. I am a warrior. I fight the demons of this world. I fight your demons. Ones you never saw attacking you, ones that you fight each day. I stand with you.

I have to admit one thing that tears at the very depth of all that I am is loving my enemies. The same enemies I fight every day. I pray they will change. I pray they will find love instead of hate. The devil has them in a stranglehold.  Another dies as their blood drips from the end of my sword. As their lifeless body lays at my feet I pray for them. I do not gloat or take pride in what I have done. It pains me greatly. It scars me more on the inside than the scars visible to you.

I have a confession to make. I am tired. More than that, I…

40 Days of Prayer and Fasting – Day 12 – The Coming Tests

40 Days of Prayer and Fasting – Day 12 – The Coming Tests

Revealed Ministries

Today we continue on with our study of the prophetic words of Jesus to the churches in Revelation. This short message of Jesus to the Church in Smyrna goes against everything that American Christians look at as spiritual success. Here in the Western Church, there is a subconscious thought that prosperity and health are signs of spiritual strength and blessing.

While there are plenty of scriptures about the physical blessings and provisions of God for his children, this is often treated as a formula. The formula goes something like this: “If you are wealthy and healthy, God must be smiling on you. He loves you the most and has looked upon you with favor. In fact, you probably have the most faith.” However, this thinking tends to be aligned more with Eastern religions like the Hindu cast system where the poorest people have…

40 Days of Prayer and Fasting – Day 11 First Love

40 Days of Prayer and Fasting – Day 11 First Love

Revealed Ministries

Today, as we enter day 11 of our 40 day fast, we begin to read the prophetic words of Jesus to the 7 churches in Revelation. Jesus knows us inside and out. He knows the spiritual state of us as individuals and he knows the spiritual state of churches corporately. In order to have Jesus’ perspective of our lives, we need to ask the Lord what he wants us to know about ourselves. He will both encourage us and he will correct us. He will strengthen and he will call to repentance. Otherwise, if we don’t ask him for this revelation, we can easily find ourselves in one of two spiritual states of deception. We may try to justify our spiritual state- thinking better of ourselves than we ought- or we will fall into discouragement and despair, in a false condemnation. But, the Lord will give us the accurate picture…

40 Days of Prayer and Fasting- Day 10 STRETCH!

40 Days of Prayer and Fasting- Day 10 STRETCH!

Revealed Ministries

What do you think of, when you hear the word stretch? There are a variety of definitions on M-W.com for stretch. Here are some of the words that are used to describe stretch: “To extend, to reach out, to enlarge, to expand, to amplify, and finally- an exercise of something (such as the understanding or the imagination) beyond ordinary or normal limits.”

This fast may be a stretch for you. You may be struggling, but you also may be (and I pray this is true) experiencing growth that comes from the exercise of spiritual muscles that haven’t been used before. (or very often) The Lord has so much he wants to pour into us- so much he wants to reveal to us, so much he wants to grow in us and through us. God is so good! He loves us and is ready and willing to work in those who…
