I forgot to pray

Now the rain is gone
After the rain
the sky clears
the sun shines
gray day is gone
bright day is ahead
I have not lived
I was born and I am alive,
but I have not lived.
I breath air and blood flows through my veins,
but still I have not lived.
I have survived.
I have struggled and even had to fight.
I have loved and lost
but I still not lived.
I have danced and sang songs
but still I have not lived.
I need to do better than this.
God did not give me life to just survive, or to merely exist. Yet that is all I have done. I say it is time for another change in my life. Time to start living life and not just surviving.
John 10:10 “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.
And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you with abundant increase of favors and make your name famous and distinguished, and you will be a blessing dispensing good to others.
The Greatest Of These
1 Corinthians 13:13 (NKJV) And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
From beginning to end the Bible is about the love of God. God even showed Cain love after he killed his brother Abel. God was merciful to him by putting a mark on him to keep others from killing Cain. Jacob deceives his father and steals his brothers blessing, and God gives him a new name and he becomes Israel. Saul has Christians killed and on the road to Damascus he is blinded by God, and when God returns his sight he becomes Paul.
In the commandments God forbids adultery and murder but David has an affair with Bathsheba. When he learns that she is pregnant with his child he tries to cover up their affair. When he fails, he sends her husband out to be killed in battle. Does God give up on him or turn David away? No, He doesn’t. David didn’t have an easy life, the baby died and the problems he had with children covered things like one son rapes his daughter. Another son wants him dead, but God never stopped loving him.
The greatest story of the love of God is found in Jesus. His own Son is sent to pay the price for the sin of every person that will ever live. Jesus knew what He was facing when He came to redeem man. He was rejected, mocked, people wanted to stone Him, He was spit on, beaten, and then crucified. He did all this even though we are hateful, lying, manipulative, self seeking, cheating, thieves, idolaters, adulterers, fornicators and murderers to name a few of the things man is without Jesus. Yet no matter how bad we are He still loves us, and He has already forgiven us we just need to receive Him and His forgiveness.
John 3:16 (NKJV) For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Don’t follow me
I am not a leader and I do not want for you to follow me.
I would like it if you walked with me though.
I have chosen to walk the path that Jesus has paved for me.
He is the Good Shepherd and He leads the way.
If you will walk with me on this path we will be going in the same direction.
We will be walking the path of righteousness.
The straight and narrow way that leads to life.
So please do not follow me but follow the One who leads me.
I have much still to learn and I only want to share what He teaches me.
For Jesus is the Way the Truth and the Life.
Jesus did not come to be served but He came to serve. He did not come in force, but in humility. Born in a manger, and raised by a carpenter. He taught us that the one who desired to be first would be last and the last would be first.
I wrote this because I see how easy it is for people to not even realize the times when they have put more into another person than their faith in God. I have learned that I have done this myself. We don’t mean to do it, but it happens when we get stars in our eyes and focus more of our attention on them and because we are so busy looking to this person we don’t even realize that we still love Christ but He is not who we are actually following.
A few years back I was called to pray for a woman. So I went to pray for her. I had not realized how demoniacally oppressed she was till this night. I had led her in the sinners prayer prior to this night and she had began to come to church with me and study the Bible with me. This night she was rolling on the floor of my neighbors home then she would sit up and look fine. I talked with her during these moments and asked her if she wanted me to pray for her which she answered yes. So I prayed for her but as I was praying she changed, she started literally worshiping me which I had to stop.She called me her savior which my response was only Jesus saves and let go of her hands and picked up my Bible and held it between us. I started humbling myself and quoting every scripture on Jesus and who he is and said that I was nothing but a vessel to be used and that I would not receive any kind of worship. Then what was speaking through her changed again and then began attacking me. I will get more into detail on this incident at a later time, but to conclude she eventually bounced up off the floor and ran out of my neighbors apartment. I was not scared except for when it called me savior and god. That night taught me more than the importance of keeping one’s spiritual armor on and the importance of prayer and spiritual warfare it taught me how easy it is for someone to see you as their salvation. I know there is not one thing I can do to save another. I don’t have that kind of power. Yes I can pull a person who is drowning to the safety of the shore but I am not your savior and yes I can clean and bandage a wound but I am not a healer.There is only One True God, And there is only one way to the Father, His name is Jesus. Call on Him and He will save you, follow Him and He will lead you on the path that leads to life. He is my everything and He is the only One to follow.
Mark 10:45 For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
Philippians 2:5-8 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
Philippians 2:3-7, “Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.”
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes tothe Father except through Me.
Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you by the way you should go.
He Is Not Broken
He is not broken
He is who he is
So why are you trying
So hard to fix him
You say
You love him
But do you?
Then why are you trying to change him
Is he the one you fell in love with?
Or did you wake up one morning
In the wrong bed?
He is not broken

Why can”t you let him be?
If you love him
then love him for who he is

Patiently
Patiently you stand
Beside the water
Your dinner comes to you
Lost
Feeling lost and confused. Unsure of which direction to take. What am I to do? Where am I to go? More questions fill my mind, yet still I find no answers.Confusion overwhelms me. I lack focus and clarity.Who, what where, and why? Who am I? What am I doing? Where am I? Why don’t I know what I need to know? I feel lost at sea and that I am drowning in misery. Fear, doubt and worry have to leave my my mind. I need to find my way. I am stumbling around in the dark as if I was blind. Looking for the light to direct my path.
GRAY
Today the sky is gray. The clouds are dark and a feeling of gloom hangs in the air. I feel lethargic. Not much motivates me today.It would be easy to lay down and sleep. Light is diminished. Hidden behind the clouds. The day feels sad. No black of night or light of day just gray.

My God, My God,
What shall I call Thee?
Thy beauty no man can behold,
Thy triumphs fill stories of old.
Many have called You by names
that they have chosen.
But not one that I have heard,
every came from Your lips.
You are more than my God,
You are more than my Heavenly Father.
You are greater than any name
that could ever be given.
For You are You,
and all names fail
to tell the world
Who You are.
So I have decided that,
